It is almost Computer Science Education Week!
Join the Computer Science team from the Santa Cruz County Office of Education in a year-long exploration of computer science and information technology during our Computer Science Leadership Academy.
This professional learning opportunity will provide Santa Cruz county educators with a fun and supportive environment to learn, practice and apply computer science into classroom curriculum and be a CS leader in their district.
The Santa Cruz County Computer Science Leadership Academy will be a collaborative event, with a variety of guest speakers, panel discussions, resources and of course, time to plan to help prepare to support their site in all things CS.
Educators will leave understanding why and how to bring the fun of computer science to their district’s students in the fall, as well as how to share this expertise with others!
Who Should Apply? Teachers, administrators and other educators who want to affect change around implementing CS, computational thinking and education technology in schools. Participants do not need any prior CS experience.
